Re: India tour
Dear
Anil
Thank
you for your email. We arrived home safely if
somewhat tired.
Our
tour was a great success and we all enjoyed it
enormously largely thanks to your wonderful organisanisation
on our behalf. Your agents in both Mumbai and
Cochin looked after us superbly. Indeed, the Mumbai
agent also arranged for us to use the facilities
of the Leela Hotel for our long wait between flights
on our way home.
As
you have asked us to give you some feed back,
we offer the following comments.
Hotels
Vasant
Continental, Delhi - a lovely hotel. We were very
lucky that you arranged a suite for us and had
the good fortune to be able to watch an Indian
Wedding ceremony in the hotel gardens below our
balcony.
Jaypee
Palace, Agra - a lovely hotel.
Clarks
Amer, Jaipur - we were not impressed with this
hotel.
It
seem geared to the package tour market and is
not up to the standard of any of the other hotels
we stayed in. The bedrooms were more like American
Motel rooms than 5 Star hotel rooms.
Intercontinental
Marine Drive, Mumbai - a superb hotel. We believe
that your agent managed to obtain upgrades for
us. Our bedrooms were superb and the staff were
all most attentive and made our stay feel extremely
luxurious.
Taj
Residency, Cochin - a lovely hotel.
Le
Meridien Beach Resort, Kovalam - a lovely resort.
The Grove Cottages have very good accommodation
in a superb setting. They do not give access directly
onto the beach as we had expected, but it was
only a short walk across the road and was not
a hardship. It is as well that we had the Grove
Cottages as the main hotel rooms are situated
up a hillside with many steps to climb which would
have been a problem for one of our party. Whilst
the hotel is will not be fully open until April,
the management of the present restaurant will
need to improve dramatically to live up to the
standard of the hotel.
Guides
New
Delhi - good
Old
Delhi - OK but we could not relate to him very
well (we think he was a last minute stand in)
Agra
- good
Fatipur
Sikri - good
Jaipur
- good
Mumbai
- good
Cochin
- good
Boat
Trip - very good and relaxing.
Internal
Flights - we were very impressed with the efficiency
of both the airports and Jet Airways.
We
hope that the above comments are useful to you.
Finally,
we cannot end without a word about Mahinder, our
driver round the Golden Triangle. We cannot speak
too highly of him. He looked after us superbly
in a most pleasant and friendly manner and we
were very sorry that he had to leave us.
We
are all very grateful to you for having organised
such a wonderful tour for us and, should any of
our friends be wishing to visit India in the future,
we will recommend that they contact you to make
their arrangements for them.
Our
thanks to you again.
With
kind regards
Terry
Sims

Many thanks
Dear
Anil
This is a long overdue thank you for our wonderful
visit to India. We could not have been more pleased.
The destinations were varied and always worthwhile.
Of course, it was necessary to follow a rigorous
schedule in order to see as much as possible,
but we appreciated having time to see the temples,
palaces, and other sights in a thorough way and
we had ample time to rest at the end of the day.
I was amazed at how wonderfully all the arrangements
were orchestrated. The drivers and guides appeared
according to schedule. The hotel rooms
were ready. The meals and rest stops occurred
just when we needed them.
In particular, our drivers Sunder (spelling?)
in Rajasthan and John in Kerala were outstanding.
We felt safe in their hands, and they were
unfailingly courteous and went out of their way
to be accommodating.
We enjoyed the hotels. Each was different and
pleasantly furnished. It was interesting to stay
in the historic structures. The hotel staffs
were pleasant and made us comfortable.
We are hoping to return before long and will look
forward to your help once again.
Barbara and Jim Furstenberg

Dear
Mr. Sunil
Delayed we would like to thank you for the beautiful
journey through India, which we made from 21.
of November till 12. of December 2004. The driver
as
well as the courier were very nice and gentlemently
young people and it was a pleasure for us, that
they guided us during the three weeks. The whole
jouney was swimmingly and there were no problems
at all. We recommend your tourist agency, whenever
we talk about the wonderfull journey.
Please lt Mr. Asif and Mr. Sunder know, that we
were very satisfied and deliver the best regards
to them. We also send the best wisches to the
chef
to his marriage. He often talked about his upcoming
wedding. We only have a last wish: Please can
you send us the complete sum of the
whole miles, which we drove through India.
Best regards
Theo and Ingeborg Forster

Patils return from India
We
have returned safely from our trip to Karnateka
and Kerala and had a truly memorable time. We
appreciated all the arrangements you made for
us. Every one was exactly right. We had some very
knowledgable and enthusiastic guides; the two
drivers were quite amazing, considering the very
challenging driving conditions.
I realize that a tour coordinator has no control
over the state of the roads, but if we had known
just how rough (and in some cases virtually non-existant)
the roads were, we would have been prepared with
Dramamine, or something similar. As it was, I
suffered motion sickness over several days and
that could have been avoided. However, that was
a small price to pay compared to the wonderful
sights and experiences we had. The hotels were
all very fine, especially the Taj Garden (Thekaddy)
and Poovar, which we enjoyed the most.
If
it is possible to contact the Furstenbergs, please
let them know that I have spoken to Barbara's
sister-in-law and all is well at their house.
Barbara's brother has been checking the house
regularly and no problems. There have been no
power outages in their area. She was envious of
our trip, as well they might be.
Again,
thank you for a most memorable holiday. You did
a very professional job for us and we are very
grateful.
